What is?
Is it mind or matter?
I think we must say it is like our experience – all we directly know!
That is neither mind nor matter.
We learn to use words that seem to be about mind and matter from our experience (and innate abilities).
I think our experience is not discrete – it is a continuous becoming of continuous experience.
It cannot be divided into sense data.
But words are discrete.
A bit of experience would be an multiply dimensional volume of multidimensional vectors.
That’s the best I can say.
We cannot fully describe any such bit.
We can find patterns in parts of such experience.
Some words correspond to such patterns.
Science finds laws which can be expressed in words.
Science continues to make progress.
There would always be limits on the predictive power of science.
— because of limits on measurements — and the probable indeterminism of quantum mechanics.
I am glad scientists and philosophers study these things.
It is too complex for me.
I think I will mostly stay with studying languages (computer and natural).
