Why there are Nominalists

Copyright (C) 2019 Dennis Joe Darland

In addition to the P, R, and S relations of The Multiple Relative Product Theory of Belief, we can add N and T relations.
N is a relation between an instance (or token) of a word and the word.
T is a relation between the object ([possibly individual ?] or universal) and its instances.

So, all we can publicly observe is the N | P | R | S | T relation.

The (publicly observable) referants and relata of the N | P | R | S | T relation are extensions.
We hypothesis intensions for N, P, R, S, and T relations to explain how language manages to function.
Those who refuse to make these hypotheses become Nominalists.
